A group of Canadian high-tech firms including Research In Motion (RIM), have banded together to attract ex-pat Canadians back to the technology community of Waterloo Region, and to fill roles at expanding locations in Dallas.
They are hosting a reception for high-tech talent next Thursday at the Omni Mandalay Hotel in Irving, Tex.
Technology firms that will be recruiting on-site include RIM, Sandvine, Dalsa, Christie Digital, Procom, Tech Capital Partners, Sirific Wireless, LiveHive, Covarity, DiskStream, Handshake VR and Software Innovation.
More than 2,000 tech jobs are waiting to be filled in Waterloo Region in such positions as RFID and ASIC designers, software developers, SAP specialists, embedded systems developers and IT and network administrators.
