Visual Networks, Inc., a provider of network and application performance management offerings, today released a suite of on-site Voice over IP (VoIP) readiness and monitoring services.
The new services utilize Visual UpTime Select, which provides in-depth, real-time and historical information in order to manage VoIP and network availability across the enterprise.
Visual Networks’ VoIP services provide diagnostic network health reports based on real-time customer traffic, which is crucial to the successful deployment and ongoing support of VoIP.
The on-site services deliver an analysis of existing performance levels and bandwidth usage, providing enterprises the necessary intelligence to plan and optimize the performance of the wide area network for VoIP success.
Metrics measured and reported on for each site analyzed include round trip delay, jitter, packet delivery ratio, availability, bandwidth utilization and granular burst analysis.
Enterprises will also receive a report identifying users, applications and servers at each site in order to highlight those that account for the majority of bandwidth consumption.
The services range from two-day single-site assessments to five-day multi-site assessments, with the longer, more comprehensive engagements providing more detailed metrics.
Enterprises also receive recommendations on suggested network changes to optimize VoIP as well as reports ranging from number of calls supported per site, circuit upgrade recommendations, Class of Service (CoS) prioritization, and throughput measurements.
