Vanco, a U.K. firm which bills itself as the “pioneering” Virtual Network Operator (VNO), has launched Vanco NetDirect, a Web portal providing a choice of telecom infrastructure for designing, pricing, purchasing and maintaining data networks.
Vanco NetDirect allows carriers, cable companies, systems integrators and large enterprises to purchase competitively priced data networks from their desktops.
Data networks are broadband (DSL or cable) and private line connections to the Internet and private networks (MPLS), which enable companies to connect their computer systems across the country or around the globe.
The company says its target market is any company that needs to purchase network infrastructure.
Current customers include Bell Canada,, Asia Netcom, AT&T, Avis Europe, British Airways, Comcast, Ford Motor Company, IBM/Lloyds TSB, Siemens, Telecom Italia Sparkle and Telus.
