Vancouver-based Nicer Canada Corp., developer of the Glopex Broadband Internet phone, will showcase the preview version of its “soft phone” at CeBIT, the world’s largest electronics and technology show in Hannover, Germany
The device allows road warriors to make and receive phone calls using the Internet at any wireless hot spot location, for example, in airports, on planes and in coffee shops.
The Glopex “soft phone” is a networking device with a phone-like user interface that comes with a microphone, numeric keypad and displays and address book.
It also contains a firewall bypass capability that allows users to make and receive calls on any network without having to reconfigure a firewall setting.
CeBIT runs from March 10-16.
