GSMA winners of 2015 Global Mobile Awards announced

The GSMA today announced the winners of the 20th Global Mobile Awards, which were presented this afternoon at the GSMA Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. The winners were announced in a ceremony hosted by actor, comedian, writer and film producer John Cleese.

Cleese, best known for the Monty Python TV and film series, as well as Fawlty Towers and countless film appearances, opened the ceremony in an irreverent style, referring to the audience as “technical geeks” and recalling his experiences of hotel service on his global travels. He was joined on stage to present the awards by Jon Fredrik Baksaas, Chairman, of the GSMA and President and CEO of Telenor Group, Anne Bouverot, Director General of the GSMA and John Hoffman, CEO of GSMA Ltd., as well as representatives from Telefónica, Time/Fortune and Gamelab.
