Graybar, a distributor of electrical and communications products and related supply chain management and logistics services, has reported US$3.78 billion in sales through the first three quarters of 2006, an increase of 18.9% over the same period last year.
The company also posted a 70.1% increase in operating income over the first three quarters of 2005.
“Our strategy is one of organic growth focused on our core business,” said Robert Reynolds Jr., chairman, president and CEO of Graybar.
“Although favorable economic conditions are contributing to our growth, it is our ability to anticipate and respond to customers’ needs that ultimately drives our business.”
Graybar’s net income of US$46.7 million for the first three quarters is more than triple last year’s performance for the same period.
