Oshawa, Ontario — Canadian network service provider, Cygnal Technologies Corp., has signed on the dotted line to acquire Edaptivity.com Inc. for $2.25 million.
Based in Hamilton, ON, Edaptivity.com provides consulting and network management services for service providers launching high-speed Internet offerings over various media. Edaptivity currently supports more than 25 utilities and cable operators throughout North America, who have more than 600,000 high-speed Internet subscribers. The company has 12 employees all of whom will move to the offices of Cygnal’s Communications Services Group in Burlington, ON.
“The acquisition of Edaptivity is strategic, in that it will complement current network solutions marketed by Cygnal and also provide us with some customers in the U.S. market,” said Doug Young, Vice-Chairman & CEO of Cygnal.
Randy Bastarache, Co-founder of Edaptivity.com. Inc., says Cygnal will provide them with the sales and marketing coverage capability and the financial and human resources infrastructure they need to grow the business.
