Communications network service provider Cygnal Technologies Corp.has sold an Avaya converged infrastructure and Internet Protocol (IP) telephony system to Vantis Credit Union of Winnipeg, Man.
The $250,000 offering, which will be installed and supported by Cygnal’s telecom networks group, will form the basis of Vantis Credit Union’s new communications network infrastructure. The network will help the company integrate disparate systems acquired through the October 2002 merger of Hy-line Credit Union and Decibel Credit Union.
According to Oshawa, Ont.-based Cygnal, the new network will give the organization increased employee productivity, member care and network efficiency through advanced voice, data, video and messaging capabilities.
Vantis will also have new levels of security, while leveraging some of its existing telephony technologies. It will also enhance an existing call centre solution marketed and installed by Cygnal about two years ago.
Additionally, seven of Vantis Credit Union’s nine branches across Manitoba have been retrofitted with Avaya IP telephones, running off of Avaya Cajun 333P converged infrastructure switches in each branch. All IP telephones are running through the Credit Union’s central network.
