Kanata, Ont.-based BelAir Networks, today announced that it has been issued a U.S. patent for its carrier-grade wireless mesh backhaul technologies currently deployed in over 250 networks worldwide.
The patent involves technology for providing what the company calls “true” carrier-grade, mobile broadband multi-service mesh networks.
“As service providers and cities are increasingly demanding higher performance — in terms of bandwidth, QoS and low latency — the wireless mesh backhaul technology reflected in our patent becomes the ‘best practices’ approach,” said Stephen Rayment, BelAir’s chief technology officer.
