The Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) is expecting an estimated 20,000 attendees and more than 450 exhibtors to GlobalComm 2006 in Chicago next month.
On day two of the conference, which runs from June 4-8, a panel will take place moderated by TIA president Matthew Flanigan involving four industry luminaries.
The four are Cindy Christy, president Network Solutions Group, Lucent Technologies; Mike Zafirovski, president and CEO, Nortel; Thomas Ganswindt, president and CEO, Siemens Communications Group; and Krish Prabhu, president and CEO, Tellabs.
“Our industry is experiencing tremendous change as a result of the growth in Internet Protocol networks and applications, an expanding broadband market, and spending on equipment and services, as well as companies engaged in merger and acquisition activity,” said TIA’s Flanigan.
“(This) is the ideal time to bring together leading executives from major telecom companies to address these dynamics.”
The show replaces SuperComm as TIA’s annual industry event.
