The Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) TR-42.11 Engineering Committee on Optical Systems has issued a call for interest for document TIA-526.14-C initially titled “Optical Power Loss Measurement of Installed Multimode Fiber Cable Plant.”

TR-42.11 is developing this revision to modify the current Foreword in the standard from adoption to adaption of IEC 61280-4-1ed2 for regional variances. These variances would change presently normative aspects of the standard to become informative.

Stakeholders may include, but are not limited to end users and installers performing attenuation tests of installed multimode cabling.
