Telus today announced plans to introduce IP-One Evolution, a service the company says will allow organizations to migrate from existing Centrex at a pace that suits their needs.

By converging voice and data communications into a single IP network, organizations will save capital, maintenance and administrative costs, Telus said in a release issued at the IP World Canada conference in Toronto.

The service is an upgrade to Telus IP-One. First launched in November 2003, it utilizes the company’s Next Generation Network (NGN) to route calls and data.
