Telus  Corp. this week announced it has entered into a five-year extension of its original 2006 contract to provide, manage and supply its portfolio of telecommunications, voice and data services, including IT security for Government of Ontario network.

The company said it will continue to provide the government  with managed services including all network components and an IT security product suite that recognizes the importance of information security to the public sector and to the citizens of Ontario.

Telus has invested $20 billion in technology and operations in the province since 2000.
