Telus Communications Inc. has selected Ethernet equipment from RAD Data Communications to enable its new business Ethernet offering throughout Canada.

The company, which has deployed its new CML3 (Customer Managed Layer 3) Ethernet service to business customers, is using RAD ETX-102 and ETX-202 Ethernet demarcation devices as a means of managing it.

“Ethernet has finally matured to the point of being a true carrier grade service,” said Zouheir Mansourati, vice president of technology strategy at Telus.

The ETX-102 delivers services at rates up to 100 Mbps, while the ETX-202 provides similar services at rates up to 1 Gbps.
