EXTON, PA — The Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE) is currently accepting nominations for its Cable-Tec Expo Awards. The annual awards honour cable telecom professionals/companies who have helped advance the industry through their leadership and excellence.
Categories open for nomination are as follows:
Member of the Year — The Member of the Year award recognizes an SCTE member who has made the most significant contributions to SCTE through active participation in its programs and efforts during the past year;
Hall of Fame — This award recognizes active SCTE members who have made extraordinary contributions to the professional development, ideals and goals of the Society and the cable telecom industry;
Women in Technology — This award honours a woman who is a member of SCTE and WICT and who has made significant contributions as a technical professional to the cable telecom industry;
Personal Achievement — The Personal Achievement award recognizes active SCTE members within the cable telecom community who have demonstrated significant personal and professional growth;
Safety — This award recognizes MSOs, contractors and individual divisions or regions of MSOs that have maintained an outstanding level of safety;
Field Operations — The Field Operations award recognizes active SCTE members working in the field as system employees or contractors who have enhanced field operations through improvements in installation, troubleshooting, construction, vehicles, tools or equipment.
Winning recipients will be honoured during an awards luncheon on June 5, 2002 at SCTE’s Cable-Tec Expo in San Antonio, Texas.
