Primus Telecommunications Canada Inc. today announced it has completed the migration of NexgenRx to its private cloud computing platforms, with Network Security, Co-location, and Managed System Administration Services.

The five-year agreement will allow the health benefits administrator to realize its long-term business and technology requirements, Primus said in a release.

“As NexgenRx enters the next phase of growth from its current 70,000 transactions per week, representing over $275 million dollars worth of claims, it is imperative that the company has a sound, scalable robust IT framework in order to keep pace with this growth,” said Ron Loucks, president and CEO of NexgenRx.

The company operates a network of 7,800 pharmacies and 18,000 dentists to process drug and dental claims electronically in real time.
