The first mobile security cloud model was introduced by Dr. Lin Yu, CEO of NetQin Mobile Inc. recently at the Wireless Security Symposium held in Seoul, South Korea.

The mobile security cloud model is composed of  a cloud security platform — knowledge repositories including mobile viruses repositories, spam message repositories and phishing site repositories — as well as a security centre that processes all the analysis work at the backend and then distributes to the cloud security client.

The model gives service providers a scalable ability to solve new emerging mobile security issues, according to Yu.
