Juniper Networks and Belden Inc. this week announced they have entered into a definitive agreement under which Juniper will acquire Trapeze Networks, an enterprise wireless local area network (WLAN) systems and management software vendor, in an all cash transaction valued at approximately US$152 million.

The acquisition is anticipated to close this quarter, subject to the satisfaction of customary closing conditions and applicable regulatory reviews.

Juniper says the acquisition will make WLAN infrastructure a key part of its portfolio, accelerating the company’s growth in the enterprise market and advancing its vision for the new network.
