The IEEE Wireless Communication Engineering Technologies (IEEE WCET) Certification Program has extended the application deadline to Oct. 1 for its Fall testing period, which will be held Oct. 12 -31 at more than 300 locations worldwide.

“IEEE WCET Certification is increasingly becoming a preeminent method for demonstrating a thorough knowledge of key wireless technologies, global market implications and the ongoing development of new standards and applications,” says Celia Desmond, IEEE WCET program director.

In addition, learning resources have been developed to help individuals planning to take the IEEE WCET exam.

For example, an online tutorial focused on WCET Area 3 – Network and Service Architecture is available through the organization’s Web site. The tutorial, which takes about 3.5 hours to complete, is divided into four main parts and includes a brief introduction of Area 3 task and knowledge statements
