Globalive Wireless Management Corp. has completed Canada’s first Advanced Wireless Network (AWS) call, which the company says sets the stage for it to provide customers with a new mobile voice, data, video and messaging experience.

The AWS band uses microwave frequencies for enhanced voice, mobile data, video, and messaging services.
