Fluke Networks has entered into a Global Sponsor Partnership with WorldSkills International. The first major sponsor event involving Fluke will be the “International Skills Festival for All” to be held in November in Shizouka, Japan.

WorldSkills (formerly known as the “Skill Olympics”) has come to symbolize excellence in vocational education and training.

The WorldSkills Competition draws the best students from regional and national skill competitions held currently in over 45 countries.

Competitions are held in 40 official categories, including network-related fields such as telecommunication distribution technology and IT/software applications.

Fluke Electronics Canada has supported Skills Canada (www.skillscanada.com) and the various competitions provincially and nationally since 1998, underscoring its commitment to helping develop next generation skills that will be needed to meet the demands of todays converged networks.

Both Fluke Electronics and Fluke Networks have sponsored competitions across Canada in categories such as electrical wiring, industrial automation, HVAC and refrigeration, electronics, automotive technology, mechatronics, robotics, network cabling and IT network support.
