Atlantic Scientific Corp. has released The ZoneBarrier 91292, a surge protection device designed to protect high-speed digital interfaces from transients caused by direct or indirect lightening strikes.

It uses silicon avalanche diodes, which are ultra fast diodes and gas tubes combined with current limiting components that form three distinct stages of protection.

In addition, the 91292 provides both RJ48C and pluggable hardwire input and output connections to make installation fast and easy. The unit can be DIN rail mounted or mounted on any flat surface and provides 10kA of surge capacity per line with a let- through voltage of only 19V and protects up to four lines.
