Phonetics, Inc. has released the latest accessory in its Sensaphone line of remote monitoring equipment.

Called the Multipoint Wireless I/O System, the new product is used to monitor remote locations. The company says the system can be deployed across canals, rivers, railway tracks and roadways, and can jump from building to building and floor to floor.

The system includes a matched wireless transmitter and receiver that takes two contacts and one 4-20mA signal and replicates them using radio signals. A sensor placed at the endpoint monitors conditions and transmits the data to the host Sensaphone system. When alarm conditions exist, the Sensaphone system automatically contacts pre-determined personnel via phone, fax, pager or e-mail.
