SS8 Networks, a provider of signaling and services products for Internet telephony, has set up shop in a new R&D facility in Ottawa.

In the new advanced technology centre, engineers will work on building the company’s telephony products for next generation networks, which enable service providers to deliver high-performance data, telephony and video services over the Internet.

SS8 Networks, headquartered in San Jose, CA, has continued its growth since incorporating in 1999. With the advent of the new Ottawa facility, the company says it plans to continue expanding its staff, which it calls “a necessity, due to size and scope of the Internet telephony market.”
