Tyco Electronics, has introduced its new AMP NetConnect professional labelling software package. The package is designed to help network installers and in-house administrators improve the identification of cabling system components, including AMP NetConnect patch panels, cross connect systems, faceplates, workstation outlets and 4- and 25-pair cable types.

The Windows-based software, which is compatible with PCs and laser and inkjet printers, is pre-loaded with templates for labelling connectors, patch panels, cable applications and other components. Port and cable spacings are pre-positioned, enabling users to enter their sequences and print.

Labels generated by the software are available in 8.5″ x 11″ sheets, and many are available in TIA/EIA 606A compliant colours.
