Semflex Inc., has introduced its BPE Series cable for mobile and in-building 50 ohm applications up to 6 GHz.

The cable is suited for antenna feeds over short distances, wireless jumper assemblies, replacement of aging systems and complex installations where flexibility is required. It offers shielding effectiveness of greater than 90 dB, derived from a combination of bonded aluminum foil and tin-plated copper braid wire, the company says.

Available in a variety of sizes, the smaller gauge 0.100-0.300 inch cable can be an alternative to RG316 and RG142 cable commonly used for interconnects in racks, cabinets and enclosures. The 0.400-0.600-inch sizes offer electrical performance similar to corrugated copper cables.
