Schroff, a manufacturer of electronic enclosure products, has introduced the third generation of the 14-slot AdvancedTCA system, designed for telecom and networking applications that include wireless IP, telephony and optical switches.

The system’s backplane is available in a variety of topologies including full mesh, dual star and dual dual star. It also meets the high-speed requirements of next-generation boards, which typically operate at 3.125 GHz and above.

With three independent fan trays, each with dual cooling pathways, it provides cooling to the slots even in the event of a fan failure. The fan trays are field-replaceable units, which reduce labour and maintenance costs.

Pricing begins at US$4,850.
