“Splicing the fiber” — a high-tech spin on the traditional ribbon cutting ceremony — is cheerfully executed at the recent opening of Lucent Technologies Canada’s new headquarters. Pictured here are: Carol Stephenson, president and CEO of Lucent Technologies Canada; Ben Verwaayen, Vice Chairman of Lucent Technologies; and Stephanie Giosa, daughter of Alex Giosa, Lucent Canada’s VP of Customer Service.
Approximately 1,000 people gathered on June 20 for what the company called “Kaleidoscope” — a celebration to kick off its new Markham, Ontario-based digs. The building, which houses 850 employees on four floors, features 160,000 square feet of office space, a 30,000 square foot warehouse and a 9,000 square foot customer showcase facility.
