Semflex Inc. has introduced the RG+ 142, a lightweight coaxial cable designed for commercial and mil/aero applications. The company says it delivers significantly superior transmission line characteristics over standard RG cable and is 60 per cent lighter than standard cable.

The combined improvements in performance enable longer install runs without concern about signal delivery degradation, it says. The operating temperature range of the cable is -65/+125C, while the outer shield construction consists of a braided aluminum layer over an aluminum foil providing >85 dB of shielding.

It is designed for installation in tight spaces and accommodates commercially available crimp style connectors.
