Regional Cablesystems Inc. Sudbury, ON, announced today that it has built a two-way Broadband network for mining giant INCO’s Telemining Project. This contract is valued at $330,000 over a three-year period.

The network interconnects several mine sites and INCO’s Mining Operation Centre, which enables the remote operation of mining equipment at three mine sites. The two-way broadband network enables video from the equipment at the mine sites to be viewed at the Mining Operation Centre. It also allows control data for the equipment to be sent back to the mine sites.

INCO developed telemining and is a world leader in this technology.
