ALIANT APPOINTS JAY FORBES

Aliant Inc. of Halifax has announced that Jay Forbes has been appointed president and CEO of the company. Mr. Forbes replaces Stephen Wetmore, who left to become Vice-Chair, Corporate at Bell Canada.

Mr. Forbes has served as Executive VP and CFO of Aliant Inc. since joining the Company in February 2001. Prior to joining Aliant, Mr. Forbes held senior executive positions with Oxford Properties Group and Nova Scotia Power Holdings Incorporated.

NEW EXECUTIVE VP AT ROGERS AT&T WIRELESS

Rogers AT&T Wireless of Toronto has announced the promotion of Robert (Bob) Berner to the position of Executive VP and Chief Technology Officer, effective immediately.

Since joining Rogers AT&T Wireless at its inception in 1985, Mr. Berner has held many senior management positions within the company. Most recently, he held the position of Senior VP and Chief Technology Officer.

GREG PORTER GOES SOLO

Greg Porter, RCDD, formerly Business Development Manager for Tyco Electronics Canada Ltd., has formed his own manufacturer’s rep company.

Operating under the name Innotech Solutions, Mr. Porter has announced that the company will represent both Berk-Tek and Ortronics in the Greater Toronto Area.

Mr. Porter, also Region 5 (Canada) Director with BICSI of Tampa, FL, will continue in that position until a new director is elected for the 2003-2004 term.

CHRISTY MARTIN WINS WOMEN IN TECH AWARD

Christy Martin, Chief Architect at Canal+ Technologies, Inc. in Cupertino, CA, has won the 2002 Women in Technology Award.The award recognizes the achievements of a female technology professional who has made significant contributions to the cable and telecom industry.

In her job, Ms. Martin is responsible for technical strategy, system design, and evaluation/integration of partner technologies.

COLIN MACLELLAN JOINS CSI WIRELESS

Calgary’s CSI Wireless Inc. has announced that Colin Maclellan has joined the company as Senior VP and GM of its Wireless Business Unit. In his new position, Mr. Maclellan is responsible for all functional areas of this unit, and will be a member of the CSI Wireless Executive Management Committee.

Mr. Maclellan comes to CSI from Nortel Networks, where he was, most recently, VP of Wireless Internet Operations.
