Ortonics/Legrand has introduced the Wi-Jack Duo, a patent-pending dual band/dual radio access point (AP), which the company says integrates seamlessly into an existing structured cabling system, fits into a standard wall box and extends only 12 mm from a wall.

It supports 802.11a/b/g operation, allowing simultaneous operating at 2.4 and 5 GHz at speeds of up to 54 Mbps. Available with or without an additional copper workstation port for wired connectivity, it contains internal tri-band omni-directional antennas mounted safely behind the faceplate.

According to the company, the intelligence of the Wi-Jack Duo is centralized within the wireless controller to deliver higher system and performance.
