Pass & Seymour/Legrand, a manufacturer of electrical and network wiring devices and accessories, has introduced a new line of fiber stub connectors that the company says simplifies the entire fiber installation process.

The OptiSmart product line includes multi mode and single-mode fiber stub SC and ST-type connectors that work with 900um and 3.0mm-jacketed fiber, allowing them to be used in multiple commercial applications, including termination in fiber enclosures, workstation outlets (fiber to the desk), equipment termination, distribution frames and termination of fiber cables.

Terminations require fewer consumables and generate less mess, which translates into increased productivity, the company says.
