Oplink Communications, Inc. has unveiled its new Dura fused fiber product family. The Dura family includes low insertion loss 980/1550 nm wavelength division multiplexers (WDM), extended band tap couplers and splitters.

Oplink’s new Dura WDMs feature an optical insertion loss of less than 0.1 dB, for both the pump channel and the signal channel. The products also feature low polarization dependant loss (<0.05 dB), low polarization mode dispersion (<0.02 ps) and high optical power handling (>3 W). The WDMs operate over the entire optical C-band or L-band.

The Dura tap couplers and splitters include a wide operating wavelength range (extended band at 1420-1520 nm or 1520-1620 nm), low excess loss (< 0.05 dB), low wavelength dependant loss (< 0.005 dB per nm), and sizes of less than 40 mm in length.
