The SNMP-Link model SL12 from Omnitronix Inc., a supplier of remote monitoring equipment, enables network administrators of small to large-scale Internet, business, telephone, microwave and broadcast communication networks to cost-effectively monitor each site for environmental hazards.

According to the company, until now, network administrators in charge of LANs and WANs with numerous remote hubs had limited affordable options in monitoring conditions at these sites without resorting to unreliable third-party security services or expensive, time-consuming field-visits.

The SL12 converts contact closure inputs, voltage inputs, and temperature and humidity event sensor data into SNMP trap alarms that work within the existing network protocols.
