KRONE has announced a new line of multimode fiber (MMF) cables that support serial 10 Gigabit per second (Gbps) transmission up to 300 metres at the 850-nm window.

Laser optimized to support the latest low-cost Vertical Cavity Surface Emitting Lasers (VCSELs), the 50-micron Ultra MMF fiber cables adhere to current guidance in the IEEE 802.3 10 Gigabit Ethernet standard. Additionally, the new fibers are compliant with standards for 10 Gigabit and all legacy Ethernet applications.
