Insilco Holding Co. of Morrisville, NC, has acquired Montreal-based T.A.T. Technology, a provider of cable and wire assemblies serving the optical networking and Dense Wavelength division Multiplexing (DWDM) segments of the telecom market.

The company says its added presence in Canada will let it capitalize on anticipated growth in cable assembly demand from Canadian wireless, networking and telecom original equipment manufacturers.

The acquisition is also designed to reduce lead-time to Canadian clients and provide expanded support to its Canadian customers.
