HellermannTyton has launched foam nameplates and foam button nameplates to its Identification Solutions product line. Designed specifically to replace plastic and metal faceplates commonly found on control panels, the foam-based markers are laminated with a high-performance polyester film that is printable using a thermal transfer printing system.

The company says the nameplates cost less per unit than engraved plates and can be printed on demand. Creation, correction and replacement of markers can occur when and where needed; saving time, speeding production, and reducing inventory.

They can also be installed on rough and uneven surfaces, providing a flat printed surface that is resistant to chemicals, solvents, heat and UV exposure. The markers have an aggressive adhesive that will stick to smooth or powder coat-painted surfaces.
