Enterasys Networks Inc. has released the Dragon Remote Site (RS) Appliance, a network-based Intrusion Detector Sensor designed for enterprise remote sites and Managed Security Service Providers (MSSPs).

Dragon RS will help to secure smaller remote locations that have traditionally only been protected by a router and a firewall. As enterprise networks continue to grow and more information is available across global enterprises, it will be critical to increase security at these remote sites, the company says.

Dragon RS builds upon the company’s Secure Networks solutions strategy, which embeds security technologies directly into the network fabric to respond proactively to threats, increase operational efficiency, and reduce deployment complexity.
