Eaton Corp. has released a new power rating for its PowerWare 9395 uninterruptible power system (UPS). The new 825kVA offering was unveiled during the Gartner IT Infrastructure, Operations and Management Summit in Orlando, Fla.

It features a scalable architecture that is adaptable to changing power requirements. In today’s environment where data centre growth can be unpredictable, the 9395 is designed to be field upgradeable by adding additional modules to achieve N+1 redundancy or to provide additional capacity, the company says.

The Powerware 9395 825 kVA takes the 9395 sustainable values into higher power ranges. In addition to the operating savings of higher efficiency, its transformerless design results in lower weight and footprint with corresponding space and transportation savings. Furthermore, the EZ Capacity Test allows for full system testing without the expense and energy cost of using external loads or load banks.
