BICSI Cares, the charitable arm of BICSI, raised US$27,000 for High Hopes, a therapeutic preschool and therapy program for families who have children with special needs.

500 people have now passed the prestigious LAN Specialist exam. On August 21, Frank Diener of Ortronics, New London, CT was recognized as the 500th person to achieve this designation. Since the last BICSI conference in Texas in May, 14 people have passed the LAN Specialist exam and 288 people have passed the RCDD exam.

Less than two years after being recognized as a district within BICSI, Brazil was officially designated BICSI Region 7 at the Nashville conference.

Ron Provost of the Governmental Releations Forum announced results of a PE/RCDD study conducted earlier this year. Questions such as whether or not RCDDs should be licensed (the majority said yes) were included in the mix. For complete survey results, please visit www.bicsi.org.
