Cisco Systems representatives and guests gather in Kanata, ON, in early May to break ground for an expansion to the company’s Ottawa Development Centre. Pictured here (left to right) are: Charles Eagan, Engineering Director, Public Carrier IP Systems; Blair Colquhoun, Site Manager; Gabor Solymar, Software Development Manager, VPN and Security Services; City of Kanata Mayor Merle Nicholds; Norm Major, Engineering Director, Multiservice Switching; Debbie Sheridan, Software Manager, Remote Access.

When completed, the expansion will comprise five buildings and accommodate approximately 2,400 employees working in the fields of remote access, multiservice switching, public carrier IP systems, IOS technologies and VPN and security solutions. The first building is due to open in December 2000.
