Genesis Cable Systems of Pleasant Prairie, Wis., a producer of low-voltage cable and wire for residential, commercial, entertainment and multimedia applications, has introduced the new CatLink Dual Zip, a 24/4 pair Category 5e UTP cable tested to 200 MHz that is coupled with a quad shielded RG-6 coaxial cable tested to 2.4 GHz.

A version is also available that uses a dual shielded coaxial cable consisting of a foil and 60 per cent braid. This design speeds cable installation and connector termination, while also exceeding the requirements for Grade 1 cabling of the TIA/EIA-570-A Residential Telecommunications Cabling Standard, the company says.
