A Bachelors of Science degree in the cabling arena is now available on “the Continent.”
European training provider CableNet Training Services Ltd., in partnership with Anglia Polytechnic University in the UK, has created a new programme called “Communications Infrastructure Design & Implementation”. Successful graduates of this course will walk away with a BSc. (Hons.) in the design and implementation of cabling infrastructures.
CableNet says the degree was created to provide a pathway for qualified RCDDs and LAN Specialists to extend their qualifications beyond the BICSI RCDD and LAN levels. The degree can be achieved in six months, and allows participants to gain “learning credits” in their workplaces and consolidate these with distance learning and on-line support provided via the University’s Web site.
Currently open to qualified BICSI RCDD and LAN Specialists, plans are in place to extend the program and provide other options for those without these designations.
