Belden CDT Electronics, a division of Belden CDT Inc. recently introduced 4-pair shielded twisted pair cable that it says meets and exceeds all industry standards for Wi-Fi tower transmissions.

Adhering to TIA/EIA 568-B.2 Category 5e and Power over Ethernet (PoE) IEEE 802.3af, the 1300A cable was developed in response to rapidly increasing market demand for efficient and convenient wireless networking technology. Features include a thick UV-resistant jacket and durable weather-resistant construction that allows the cable to deliver stable electrical performance even in high-traffic RF environments.

Installation is eased by a 24 AWG stranded tinned copper drain wire and by the sequential marking of the cable’s PVC jacket at two-foot intervals.
