Belden recently launched the BWIE-100 Indoor Enclosure and BWOE-100 Outdoor Enclosure that are designed to provide security for the remote placement of the company’s XtraThin Access Points (APs).

The new NEMA-rated, RoHS-compliant enclosures provide protection against tampering, theft and environmental damage to the wireless APs installed in remote locations, outdoor areas, or indoor sites where they may be exposed to physical damage such as in gymnasiums or K-12 educational facilities.

Belden’s dual-radio and four-radio XtraThin Access Points are a key element of the Belden’s Edge Architecture/Channel Blanket WLAN system that utilizes 8-, 12-or 24-port switches and “thin,” radio-like APs.
