AT&T Canada Inc., Toronto, has announced it will expand its Internet Data Centre Services (IDCS) with the addition of a new Internet Data Centre in Vancouver and space expansion in one of its two existing Toronto facilities.

The Internet Data Centre will provide a secure facility for hosting business web sites and server operations, or for setting up operations for Application Services Providers (ASPs). They are built as complete carrier-class data centre facilities with full environmental controls, uninterruptible power, backup diesel generators, security card controlled access, video surveillance, multiple broadband fibre ring access, high speed Internet connectivity and network monitoring.

The company currently hosts many of Canada’s most prominent dot-com sites, including Chapters.ca, CD Plus, Microsoft/eScotia Web Store and Future Shop.
