Anderson Power Products (APP) is now shipping new press-fit contacts for its PowerMod line of connectors. The concept enables a solder-free connection to the PCB.

The connectors provide low contact resistance and are UL listed to 23 amps per circuit for board-to-board applications and 25 amps per circuit in board-to-cable applications.

Based on compliant information, the contacts are designed for two ranges of PCB thickness – 2.4 to 4.5 millimetres and 4.5 to 6.5 millimetres. Non-standard sizes are also available.

PowerMod solder and crimp connectors are also fully compatible and intermateable with the new press-fit contacts.

APP connectors are available through an authorized distributor network or direct from the company.
