The CCTP (Closed Circuit Twisted Pair) system from Anixter Inc. is a video surveillance system that runs video, power and control signals over a single, Unshielded Twisted Pair (UTP) cable. Traditional CCTV surveillance systems require up to three separate and distinct proprietary cables.

The system addresses the escalating movement by large organizations to converge physical security into the IT domain. It offers the ability to easily accommodate future moves, adds and changes, contains an open architecture that fosters PC integration and is 100 per cent upgradeable to digital technology. Its compatibility with existing IT infrastructures enhances both security systems and digital networks. According to Anixter, the system will also reduce labour costs and lower total cost of ownership.
