Tyco Electronics Ltd. has announced that its AMP NetConnect XG shielded cabling system is compliant with the Telecommunications Industry Association’s (TIA) recently published ANSI/TIA 568-B. 2- 10: Transmission Performance Specifications for 4-Pair 100 Ohm Augmented Category 6 Cabling.

Per this standard, the AMP NETCONNECT XG shielded system supports the next-generation of

Ethernet bandwidth intensive network applications, including the transfer of larger amounts of data at 10 Gigabit data rates.

The system also meets both the IEEE 802.3an 10GBASE-T standard and ISO/IEC 11801 Addendum 1 Draft Class EA requirements for 4-connector 100-metre channels.

The system includes XG F/UTP cable, XG shielded patch panels, XG shielded patch cords and XG AMP-TWIST shielded jacks. The XG AMP-TWIST jack provides automatic bonding and grounding with its approximately 90-second termination.

It is available in flat and angled versions.
